As a Learning Support Assistant in Hazel Grove, Greater Manchester, you will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs or disabilities within an educational setting. Your primary role will involve assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans, monitoring student progress, and providing one-to-one support as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities in the classroom
* Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans
* Providing one-to-one support to students as required
* Monitoring and recording student progress
* Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
* Supporting students during educational outings and extracurricular activities
Minimum Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
* Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students' learning
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
* First Aid certification
