Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an editor based out of our Manchester office.
The editor will handle time-sensitive announcements and research reports from various sectors, including Corporates, Banking, Public Finance, Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance and Infrastructure/Project Finance.

We’ll Count on You To:
5. Perform high-quality editing of rating announcements and research reports for content, grammar, style and structure under deadline pressure.
6. Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure.
7. Be an agile and efficient editor who’s capable of editing content from across different analytical groups and has the ability to collaborate with analysts to produce a high-quality finished product.
8. Help to manage content through to completion, including consistency of fundamental ratings information on reports and in databases.
9. Become adept at using the Fitch global research publishing applications.
10. Provide constructive criticism to analysts on content, structure and grammar.
11. Maintain quality standards by editing content of research reports.
12. Work with analysts to ensure accuracy of text and graphics.
13. Support accuracy and style standards in the publishing process.
What You Need to Have:
14. A Bachelor’s degree.
15. A minimum of three years of financial editing experience.
16. Strong knowledge of financial markets, bond/equity markets and the credit ratings industry.
17. Excellent interpersonal skills.
18. Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.
19. Ability to handle multiple releases and reports and edit within tight deadlines.
20. The ability to work as part of a close-knit team as well as independently.
21. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
22. Motivated and resilient.
23. The ability to adjust elementary formatting in research reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
