Ideal candidate: Must be energetic and passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare and learning experiences to children.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, shift pattern will be between 7.30 - 6pm.
Responsible to: The Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager.
Job Activities:
To assist in the day-to-day running of the Nursery, working in partnership with the Managers and the room leaders.
Duties will include:
1. Complying with all policies and procedures set by Woodend private day nursery within the guidelines of OFSTED requirements.
2. Offering all children Equal Opportunities with regards to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disability, culture, or linguistic background, challenging any discriminatory behaviour.
3. Working as part of a team and promoting and following daily routines to a high standard.
4. Having a good understanding of child development.
5. Producing Development Records for individual children where needed.
6. Providing stimulating, creative, and safe play activities.
7. Providing opportunities for children to develop through play.
8. Providing dedicated care for children throughout the day with regard to their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.
9. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the setting, including tidying away toys and equipment.
10. Liaising with parents (working in partnership), including involvement in Parents Evenings.
11. Holding a cleared DBS check and two satisfactory references which will be obtained before employment.
12. Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
13. Being punctual and reliable at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship.
Pay: From £6.40 per hour.
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week.
