The role:
Project Better Energy are looking to grow our commercial sales team; role based in South London. The job role will involve direct responsibility for the growth of Project Better Energy’s Commercial pipeline.
You will be joining a growing team developing a strong pipeline of renewable energy solutions to blue chip and large corporate clients across the UK. Accountable for leading acquisition of new customer business via prospecting both internally & externally, networking, and external tender responses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
* Develop and execute strategic business development plans to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies.
* Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
* Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
* Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
* Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
* Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue to senior management.
* Mentor and guide junior business development team members to enhance their skills and performance.
* Represent PBE at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote our services.
What you’ll bring: (essential)
* Proven experience as a Senior Business Development Manager or in a similar role within a B2B environment.
* Experience selling into Electrical Wholesalers such as Plumbing and Heating Merchants.
* Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals and achieve sales targets. - Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, market dynamics, and business strategies.
* Ability to develop services as a route to market and key support for wider Project better energy service offerings.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level executives and decision-makers.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* Established network in the industry.
* Selling Heat Cylinders/ familiarity with product
