Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to students with a range of SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
2. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leadership.
3. Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for students.
4. Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
5. Support the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates diversity.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in an SEN setting.
3. A strong understanding of a variety of SEN, including but not limited to autism, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching.
6. An understanding of safeguarding practices and the ability to work within a safe, supportive environment.
7. A commitment to professional development and a desire to continually improve teaching practice.
