Due to increased demand, Pertemps is partnering with the Royal Mail to recruit professional Delivery Drivers to support their busy operations. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in your community!
About the role:
Start your day at the local delivery office, sorting and preparing mail for your route. Your responsibilities may include delivering parcels using a company van or on foot along postal routes. You will use a hand-held computer device to detail your route and track your mail, then deliver mail and parcels to your local community. Shift lengths typically range from 6 to 8 hours per day.
Shift Times: Between 07:00 and 18:00, working Monday to Saturday. Flexibility to work every day is required.
About You:
* You are upbeat, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. You are helpful, approachable, and have a strong sense of community, getting to know the people in your area.
* Since Royal Mail delivers in all weather conditions, you should enjoy working outdoors and be relatively fit and healthy due to the walking involved.
* You are smartly presented, professional, and courteous.
* You must be able to commit to working Monday to Saturday each week and be flexible with your hours.
Previous Experience:
* Experience in a delivery driving role with a customer-facing attitude is required.
* A full DBS security check will be required before starting work.
Driving Requirements:
* Full UK manual driving licence at your current UK address.
* No more than 6 penalty points.
* Endorsements such as IN, DD, DR, or CD are not accepted.
