Global Production Planner
Location: South Wales
Working Hours: Full Time - 37.5 Hour Weeks
Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Global Production Planner to join our well-established client based in the Blackwood area.

Job Overview:
A vacancy is available for a Global Production Planner working in the Production Engineering area, responsible for the creation and maintenance of master data within the company's MRP system. Based at a European facility, this role is part of a dedicated team establishing the foundation data used by the business to conduct repair and maintenance activities associated with commercial aircraft engine parts. The position reports to the Technical Services Manager and plays a key role in ensuring high service levels expected from a world-leading MRO provider.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing a key responsive service to the business via Helpdesk system support.
2. Researching Technical Publications/Engineering drawings.
3. Creation, maintenance, and revision of master data (labour & material resources) in SAP.
4. Challenging the validity of requests to ensure data accuracy.
5. Liaising with key functional departments across global operations.
6. Assisting with other departmental duties as required.
7. Supporting departmental project activity and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Qualifications:
1. Prior experience working in a manufacturing office, production, or production engineering/planning/scheduling environment with strong task prioritisation skills is desirable.
2. Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and able to interact with various departments, challenging where necessary to maintain data standards.
3. Proficiency in business tools such as SAP, email, MS Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Primarily based in a busy open office environment, with frequent visits to shop floor working areas. Must be capable of ascending and descending stairways.
Mental Requirements:
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in support of this key business role. Ability to establish priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
