Knowledge Management Assistant - London
A leading multinational law firm has a fantastic permanent role for a Knowledge Management Assistant.
The Knowledge Management Assistant is responsible for providing dedicated support for the London Knowledge Management Attorneys. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the London M&A/PE KM team, and assisting other London KM teams as required. Responsibilities will include precedent collection management, uploading and tagging knowhow content to practice group sites on SharePoint, and compiling regular legal updates and newsletters. Attention to detail and good time management are both important aspects of the role.
Knowledge Management is an important function of the firm, and the KM Attorneys frequently require support with new projects and initiatives. The post holder assists with the handling of these requests and offering practical solutions when required.
Key job responsibilities may include:
* Upload and tag new knowledge content including precedents, training materials and knowhow, to the UK M&A/PE and other London practice sites on SharePoint as required.
* Assist with redacting and proofreading certain knowledge materials to comply with client confidentiality.
* Liaise with the Reprographics team on the creation of new deal bible folders and upload them to the Bibles Database on the M&A practice site.
* Assist with the maintenance and updating of referral contacts databases using external research resources.
* Take responsibility for the compilation of the daily M&A/PE Deal Roundup using the Vable publishing tool.
* Assist with the compilation of other news and legal updates as required.
* Assist with providing general administrative support for a busy team.
* Assist the central Knowledge Services team with tasks from all London practice groups when capacity permits.
* A good understanding of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
* Experience of SharePoint, iManage 10 and Vable would be an advantage but are not essential. Training will be provided.
First rate attention to detail and good use of grammar are essential as well as having experience or interest in information and knowledge management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to be able to do this job effectively in a highly professional environment, in addition to an enthusiastic personality and a willing and pro-active attitude.
