Wood is recruiting a Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project on a permanent staff role. Hybrid working - 3 days working from Glasgow office and Aberdeen office for meetings as requested Responsibilities The Role With direction and guidance, supports delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) through coordination of discipline engineering deliverables. Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications Develops understanding of relevant engineering and HSES procedures and standards Alerts more senior project engineering personnel in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Expected: Preferably formal project management training either PMP or APM certification Extensive experience of delivering brownfield modifications for UK / North Sea assets, offshore or onshore Extensive experience gained either as a discipline engineer in a project environment or in more junior project engineering roles Good understanding of technical work scope, key dates, and milestones Familiar with project contractual and commercial requirements Fully conversant with project scopes and work carried out by all engineering disciplines Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and is able to deliver to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Project Engineering deliverables Understands the importance of Project Engineering deliverables and the need for accuracy and timely issue Commercially astute and aware of the importance of change control Has a good knowledge of engineering standards, procedures and work practices; follows project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution Able to lead small teams; develops skills of leadership with minimum intervention from manager
