£480 per day via Umbrella Company or Limited Company

Our client is a renowned industry leader supplying cutting-edge optical components and systems to major science and aerospace clients across the UK and Europe. They are seeking an Interim Project Manager to take ownership of ongoing, high-profile projects from planning through to delivery.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing detailed project plans, defining deliverables, and managing schedules using MS Project.
2. Leading cross-functional teams to design, manufacture, and build advanced optical systems.
3. Conducting technical risk analysis and ensuring projects adhere to quality standards.
4. Controlling project budgets and preparing cost estimates for client proposals/bids.
5. Coordinating with clients to understand requirements and manage expectations.
Qualifications:
1. Significant experience managing end-to-end optical systems projects.
2. Proficiency in using PM tools like MS Project for scheduling and budgeting.
3. Thorough knowledge of optical design, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
4. Ability to produce technical proposals, cost estimates, and manage client relationships.
5. Background in physics, optical engineering, or related technical discipline.
