Job Overview
Are you an experienced nurse with expertise in bladder and bowel health? Join us as a Continence Team Lead Nurse at West London NHS Trust, where you’ll lead a specialist team, drive service improvements, and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the Role
* Lead and coordinate a team providing holistic continence care in line with service standards.
* Act as a clinical expert, managing complex cases and running clinics such as TWOC and ambulatory catheter clinics.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care.
* Mentor staff, promote professional development, and foster a culture of excellence.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: Registered Nurse Level 1 with current NMC registration and a recognised bladder and bowel health qualification.
* Experience: Significant clinical expertise in continence care, with leadership and management experience.
* Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and IT skills, plus the ability to manage complex cases.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Level 1 with current NMC Registration. Recognised nursing qualification at degree level.
* Recognised continence/bladder and bowel health qualification or training. Assessor and supervisory trained.
Experience
* Significant clinical experience in bladder and bowel health at a senior level.
* Experience of clinical leadership and supporting others to deliver high-quality care.
* Significant experience of working in the community, primary care setting or acute. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of bladder and bowel dysfunction and its management.
* Leadership and managerial ability to run the service.
Skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to manage complex clinical cases.
* Ability to assess risk and to work effectively with colleagues to address them in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Other Requirements
* IT user skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the use of electronic patient records system.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to work and travel within geographical area of service. A car driver or has access to own transport.
* Open to exploring new, evidenced based ways of working with the aim of delivering care and services in line with the NHS forward plan.
