Job summary Northumberland County Council Adults Safeguarding Team have an exciting job opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to work within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are looking for enthusiastic and committed social workers who are resilient and confident to deliver an excellent service within Northumberland. The team consists of Social Workers, Safeguarding Managers and Team Managers who work closely with our partner agencies to ensure the safeguarding of Adults at Risk in Northumberland working closely with Northumbria Police, Childrens Services, Health, CNTW and a number of other partner agencies. You will be based at Foundry House in Bedlington integrated with our partner agencies, however the opportunity for hybrid working is available. The role is a permanent, full time post (37 hours per week) and has a starting salary of £38626 increasing to £42708. Main duties of the job The role of the job: To carry out triage of new safeguarding referrals within a24 hour timescale To assess and analyze risk and strengths along with implementing safety planning Liaise with clients via telephone and on occasion, conduct a home visit Liaise with partner agencies to ensure the safeguarding of an adult at risk Access support via the safeguarding managers/Team Manager where appropriate Complete brief assessments of work completed Conduct unannounced visits to organizations where safeguarding concerns have been raised Identify immediate risk of harm and raise this with your line manager Meet tight timescales within Triage and MASH Support with organizational safeguarding Record data on NCC systems The requirements of the job: Social Work Degree Social Work Registration with Social Work England Valid UK driving licence About us Northumberland County Councils (NCC) vision is Land of Great Opportunities, for current and future generations.
