Job Description
PE Global is recruiting an instrumentation technician for our multinational mining and construction client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12-month onsite position and is shift based.
Responsibilities of the role:
1. Practical, hands-on responsibility for evaluating and deploying measurement equipment
2. Operating measurement equipment and conducting diagnostic investigations
3. Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration of emissions measurement equipment
4. Modifications to facility plant/test rigs and equipment
5. Evaluating products and processes in the emissions measurement discipline
6. Provide first line breakdown cover
Requirements:
Essential:
1. Experience of plant or instrumentation maintenance
2. Technical Apprenticeship trained with electro-mechanical bias or equivalent extensive industry experience
3. The capacity for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with peers
4. Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
5. Understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and Permanent Corrective Actions
6. Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of gaseous measurement and/or particulate measurement.
Desirable:
1. Experience / Knowledge of Horiba MEXA Gaseous Analysers
2. Experience / Knowledge of Sierra / Cambustion Particulate Analysers and Partial flow systems
3. Experience / Knowledge of AVL Smoke / MicroSoot / Opacimeter instruments
4. Experience of working in an engine test cell environment
5. Experience of working in engineering technician role.
