We’re on a mission to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people aged 12-17 who have experienced significant trauma—and we need a Registered Manager to help us open the doors to our brand-new children’s residential care home. Your Role as Registered Manager
This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to shape the future for both the young people in your care and the new home you’ll manage.
As the Registered Manager, you will:Build and lead a team to provide a safe, caring environment for children with complex needs.Be at the heart of creating a warm, welcoming home from the ground up.Work closely with local authorities to ensure thoughtful, positive placements that promote stability and growth.Navigate challenges like verbal/physical aggression, self-harm, and trauma with empathy and resilience, fostering trust and lasting relationships - seeing the child beyond the behaviour.Oversee daily operations, from quality assurance and paperwork to staff mentoring and professional relationships.Advocate for the children in your care, safeguarding their rights and helping them rediscover hope.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards it).Experience: Significant background in residential care, particularly with young people facing complex challenges. Deputies with 3-5 years of experience looking to step up are welcome!Location: South West-based or willing to relocate (North Devon area).Skills: A natural leader with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.Driver: Essential due to the rural setting.
