Job Title: SPECIFICATION SALES MANAGER – WORKPLACE

Are you a driven, high calibre, talented and ambitious SPECIFICATION SALES PROFESSIONAL with experience and a proven track record in promoting Commercial Interior Products to Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build / Fit-Out Companies, Main, Specialist Subcontractors and End User clients within the Commercial Office & Workplace sector?
If so, we are working with one of the most forward-thinking, progressive and disruptive market-leading Manufacturers of highly sustainable and extremely design-led FLOOR COVERINGS who are seeking a SPECIFICATION ACCOUNT MANAGER to join their dynamic team to drive business in Central London.
The Role
To proactively promote our client’s high quality, market-leading ranges of Floor Covering solutions on a project-by-project basis via Interior Designers, Architects (70% of the time approx. including evening and daytime networking events), Design & Build / Fit-Out companies, Main, Sub Contractors and End User clients (30% of the time approx.) by raising awareness, generating sales and hitting agreed sales team goals whilst working closely with other members of the team both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
1. Raise our client’s profile in the Central London region, expanding, growing, developing and nurturing the existing customer base through strong business development and relationship building skills.
2. Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills.
3. Generate new business through proactiveness in the marketplace.
4. Manage and develop Key Accounts.
5. Promote solutions on design capabilities over and above price.
6. Network and entertain clients and customers.
7. Embrace the A&D Community in the region.
8. Grow Sales within agreed target markets: Commercial Office | Workplace.
9. Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
10. Collaborate with colleagues with professionalism and integrity on projects across the business.
11. Hold product forums, lunch and learns or CPD presentations.
12. Complete administration on time for accurate analysis reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required – ESSENTIAL
1. Must be located WITHIN A COMFORTABLE COMMUTE TO CENTRAL LONDON, HAPPY TO WORK REMOTELY.
2. At least 5-10 years’ experience promoting an interior design led product or service offering.
3. A sound network of relationships and understanding of the A&D, Fit Out / D&B / Main / Subcontractor companies in the area.
4. Experience of long-term project selling cycles.
5. Evidence of stability and success in similar previous roles.
6. Must have a growth mindset and be a business development driven field sales professional.
7. Team player.
8. Full driving license.
9. Computer literate (to include excel).
10. High motivation, dynamism and autonomy to develop your own business.
11. A natural networker, at ease with building relationships at all levels.
12. A driven sales professional able to grow the existing account base.
SALARY & BENEFITS
