Personalised Care Roles
Starting salary: £23,816 or £28,607 per annum (based on role)
At First Contact Clinical our job is to enable healthy change in the people and places that need it most. We are looking for people to join our South Tyneside teams who want to help us to do this.
We work across clinical and community settings, building strong relationships with our partners and embedding our offer within the neighbourhoods we support. As a member of First Contact Clinical, you will support a caseload of people with a wide range of complex social and emotional needs to achieve what matters to them.
When working with the people we serve at First Contact Clinical, you are supporting them to develop:
1. A stronger sense of themselves (confidence)
2. Achievable goals and motivation
The relationships that will be important for them along the way (support networks).
This is what we mean when we say enable healthy change. As a member of First Contact Clinical, your aim is to understand what matters most to them and support them to take the next steps towards their goals, building on their strengths with support from our teams and the local community. You will achieve this by working in a relational way. This means working in a way that builds a relationship, the purpose of which is to have a positive effect on the people in it.
You are just one of these relationships and in the grand scheme of their lives, a very short-term one. But the relationship between you and the person can generate positive effects and contribute to their ability to move forward towards their version of a good life.
Our teams believe that people are capable of change, are experts in their own lives, and have individual strengths, needs, and preferences. Our teams believe that people feel empowered in the presence of empathy and in the absence of judgement – when they are listened to, understood, and valued.
We are looking for you to bring your unique self and life experience to this work, which is a key asset in doing this role well. We recognise that we are people first and professionals second. We will provide full training and ongoing supervision to ensure you can continuously develop and reflect on your practice.
If you are interested in other people and working with them to enable healthy change, then we want to hear from you!
An enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) police record check in relation to vulnerable adults and children (previously known as CRB check) is required for this role. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle is desirable for this role.
To apply, please complete the employment application form and return it to jobs@firstcontactclinical.co.uk.
Please submit your application as soon as practicably possible as we reserve the right to close the advert when the required number of applications are received. The closing date for applications is Thursday 30th January 2025.
If you are shortlisted, a member of the Support team will call you on the 31st of January to discuss your application and arrange a time for you to complete the virtual assessment. The virtual assessment will be held the week commencing the 3rd of February 2025. The virtual assessment is where you can demonstrate your relational skills in a role play scenario, after which you will share a self-reflection. We will then invite you to attend the final round of our recruitment process if successful.
We look forward to meeting you and wish you luck! If you wish to discuss this opportunity further, please contact enquiries@firstcontactclinical.co.uk to be connected to a member of our Support Team.
