We are looking for a Farm Business Survey (FBS) Regional Manager to supervise and organise staff and contractors delivering the FBS farms survey in the South West. The position is hybrid, with an expectation to come into the the Stoke Climsland office. The FBS Regional Manager will act as a conduit with the Project Team to ensure project deliverables are on target at each milestone and that progress is being reported centrally. They are also responsible for client care in terms of complaints or requests from farmer participators for their region. The successful candidate will have a broad and current understanding of agriculture, horticulture, and the rural community with a sound understanding of accounting principles. Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other supervisors Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receive guidance and oversight from manager Supervise the daily activities of your regional FBS team of Research Officers Have formal supervisory responsibilities; set priorities for and coach employees to meet daily deadlines Understand and apply procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines Use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems Use tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision. Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours. Basic Qualifications: (required) Agricultural related qualification or significant experience Experience with accounting Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets Experience managing a team composed of hybrid/remote workers Driving license Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with detailed figures and working to targets with a high level of accuracy Solid foundation in MS Excel and the ability/motivation to develop this to an advanced level of proficiency Ability to work as a trusted partner to FBS participants who are sharing highly sensitive data Who are we?
