Responsibilities:
1. Craft body panels using traditional sheet metal techniques.
2. Hammer-form components from part- or fully-pressed pieces.
3. TIG weld aluminium panels to the highest quality standards.
4. Prepare bodies and panels for paint, ensuring flawless finishes.
5. Work with jigs and manufacturing systems, meeting production targets while upholding the highest levels of craftsmanship.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in Sheet Metal/Fabrication/Welding (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
2. Excellent TIG/MIG welding skills, with a strong understanding of welding distortion.
3. Experience in niche automotive panel manufacturing.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
5. Previous experience in BIW (Body in White) preparation for paint.
6. Comfortable working to standard times in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
7. Previous automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
