Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)\n\nLocation:\n\nField Role (Covering Area: Mansfield, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, and surrounding areas)\n\nContract Details:\n\nPermanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)\n\nDriving Required: Yes\n\nOvertime Available\n\nSalary:\n\n£30,000 - £32,000\n\nAbout Our Client:\n\nOur client is a dynamic organisation dedicated to providing top-notch service and maintenance support for a wide range of packaging machinery across the UK. They pride themselves on their commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement within their service teams.\n\nBenefits & Perks:\n\nCompany laptop\nPhone bill coverage up to £40\nCompany vehicle (personal use requires fuel reimbursement)\nCompany credit card\nComprehensive pension scheme\nGenerous holiday entitlement of 26 days plus 8 statutory holidaysResponsibilities:\n\nPerform preventative and breakdown servicing/repairs on various machinery, including:\n- Pneumatic and battery-operated hand banding tools\n- Strapping machines\n- Pallet wrapping machines\n- Carton sealing machines\n- Case forming machines\nConduct customer site visits, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and documentation.\nProvide exceptional technical support and service to customers.\nMaintain accurate documentation for all service activities via a company-provided app.\nTrain customers on machinery use as needed.\nFoster strong customer relationships and represent the organisation positively.Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):\n\nRecognised apprenticeship leading to an ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.\nExperience in a workshop environment, proficient with general workshop tools.\nStrong engineering and assembly skills.\nCurrent full driving licence is essential.\nGood understanding of Health & Safety Regulations.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):\n\nPneumatic skills are an advantage.\nExperience in the steel industry is preferred, but not essential.\nComputer literate with good product knowledge.\nFlexible approach to work and strong customer relationship skills.How to apply:\n\nIf you're passionate about delivering exceptional service and have the drive to succeed, we want to hear from you!
