Business Administrator Apprentice - Level 3 Our client is looking for a highly organised and reliable Administrative Assistant to support the smooth operation of their Primary School. The ideal candidate will assist with a range of administrative tasks, ensuring that the school runs efficiently and effectively. About our client: Our client is a community driven primary school and nursery for children aged 2-11 located in the heart of Brixton, South East London. The role: Possible start date: 22.04.2025 Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm Total working hours: 35 What you will do in your working day: General Administration: Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries from staff, parents, and visitors. Provide administrative support to the Headteacher, and other staff as needed. Carry out administrative duties related to school clubs and trips. Student Records & Attendance: Check the completion of daily registers, contact parents/guardians regarding student attendance or absence. Office Support: Order and maintain office supplies and ensure that stock levels are adequate. Assist in organising meetings, events, and activities within the school. Support with the preparation and distribution of school communications. Ensure the school's reception area is welcoming and organised for visitors. Parent and Community Interaction: Act as a point of contact for parents, helping to resolve basic queries or direct them to the appropriate staff member. The training you will receive: Level 3 Business Administration qualification All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes Functional skills in English & maths if required Future prospects: Contract Type: 1-term fixed-term contract (with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract) Benefits Flexible working will be considered Qualifications required: GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A - C 9/4) - Essential GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A - C 9/4) - Essential Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a school or education setting (desirable but not essential). Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using office software (Microsoft Office). Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including staff, students, and parents.
