Role Overview: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the early development of young learners. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to children, including those with special educational needs.
* Contributing to the planning and preparation of creative learning activities.
* Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
* Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lesson Support: Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver the EYFS curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible for all students.
* Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with special educational needs, to promote their academic and personal development.
* Activity Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of creative and stimulating activities that encourage learning through play.
* Progress Monitoring: Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and contributing to individual learning plans.
* Environment Maintenance: Help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is highly desirable.
* A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, NVQ in Early Years, CACHE).
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the needs of the school and its pupils.
* A valid DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
