Gi Pro is proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, one of the leading manufacturers in the UK, which is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead.
Job Role:
As a core member of the engineering team, you will report directly to the engineering maintenance manager. You will be tasked with leading shift members, including prioritization and allocation of workload. A proven track record of working within an FMCG environment as a lead or senior engineer is essential. You should have technical hands-on engineering experience working with a range of maintenance activities on site.
Typical Duties Will Involve:
* Ensuring production priorities are understood so that maintenance works are carried out to meet orders.
* Working closely with the Shift Operations Manager to ensure planning of engineering activities is fully supported.
* Management and development of department processes.
* Maximizing and improving performance in line with KPIs.
* Providing expert front-line engineering knowledge.
* Ensuring company and statutory Health and Safety regulations are met.
* Carrying out technical and operational audits.
* Making and maintaining the right engineering decisions.
Desirable Experience:
* A recognized time-served apprenticeship (ideally).
* NVQ Level 3 (minimum).
* Experience in food manufacturing maintenance.
* Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
* Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.
* Managing safe working practices.
* Broad knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and PC/inverter assets.
