Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP) Team. The postholder will be integral to enabling the team to offer a psychologically informed EIP service and specifically in providing and overseeing the delivery of evidenced based psychological interventions. The post sits within the broader Adult Specialised Services Directorate and will be supported by the Directorate Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide and oversee the delivery of evidence based psychologically informed care.
* Provide supervision and training to other disciplines in evidence based approaches.
* Facilitate team formulation meetings.
* Evaluate service developments and provide regular reports to management.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the services policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology or its equivalent.
* Recognized training in supervision of trainee psychologists.
* Knowledge of legislation in relation to the specialism and mental health generally.
* Evidence of CPD as recommended by the HCPC or British Psychological Society.
* Knowledge and experience of models, evidence and practice relating to Early Psychosis.
Experience
* Experience in Care and Treatment planning as defined under the Mental Health Measure, Wales.
* Experience of working with service users presenting with early psychosis.
* Experience of working with risky clients in inpatient and community settings.
Aptitude & Abilities
* Confidence/experience in evaluation of outcomes and service developments.
* Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
Other
* Ability to travel in a timely manner across the geographical area covered by CTMUHB.
