Here at Tower Vets, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Care Assistant to work at our branch in Perth.
Your role will include:
* Assisting Veterinary Surgeons and RVN’s with patients and adhering to the patients' needs.
* Manual handling and caring for animals with empathy and compassion.
* Focusing on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice.
* Cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
* Running laboratory tests and packaging samples.
* Help to maintain stock levels and ensure effective stock control and rotation, which may include ordering and monitoring of stock requirements and assisting with the bi-annual stock take.
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients at the reception desk.
* Answering and making phone calls, including post-operative calls, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and managing client queries.
* Cash handling and maintaining accurate client records.
Where you will be based
The successful candidate will join our RCVS accredited single site practice in Perth, Scotland. Perth, a beautiful vibrant city, is known as the gateway to the Highlands. In central Scotland, you would only be an hour away from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh but also within an hour of the Cairngorms and picturesque Scottish hills, mountains, and lochs for climbing, skiing, hill walking, and kayaking. We may be able to assist with relocation expenses.
About the rota and salary
This is a full-time role working 36 hours between 8:00am-7:30pm Monday-Friday and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. Out of hours call outs are covered by Vets Now.
The salary will be up to £22,000 DOE per annum.
