Typical responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager:
* Monitor and distribute work to Business Development Executives, ensuring that the team is operating effectively, in line with the company Key Performance Indicators, and support them by setting up monthly one-to-one progress meetings.
* Approve the delivery of priced services or products to maintain a positive Gross Profit.
* Identify performance or sickness issues with team members and undertake action (in conjunction with HR) to maintain team performance levels.
* Receive customer enquiries for the company’s products and services, place orders with the supply chain, and convert them into bookings.
* Identify sales opportunities and ensure client performance is in line with budget.
* Record, update, and maintain customer data and interactions on the company’s system.
* Establish a working relationship with designated customers and internal contacts, ensuring any complaints are dealt with efficiently.
* Record, monitor, and review credit limits, invoice queries, site value, and expenditure of accounts to ensure compliance with financial limits as determined in the SLA.
* Manage your own portfolio of customers with direct budget responsibility – tracking customer workloads, forecasting activity, revenues, and margins, and managing the sales pipeline.
What we need from you:
* Successful track record of working in a sales environment.
* Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
* Sales driven, with a strong focus on generating sales and achieving revenue targets.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Full UK driving licence for occasional customer visits.
* Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
* Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload.

Additional information:
* Permanent, full-time. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working in our Telford Office in Stafford Park 1, TF3 3BD.
