The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to support our Field Team Leader in delivering exceptional service to our customers. This will involve providing technical assistance remotely and on-site, as well as acting as a point of contact for our Service Desk Team during day-to-day operations.
* Provide 1st to 3rd line technical support for all customers
* Ensure timely resolution of customer incidents (on and off-site)
* Meet or exceed department Service Level Agreements
* Maintain close communication with 1st and 2nd line technical support and other field engineers
* Offer technical guidance to the helpdesk team and field engineers
* Foster strong relationships with other business units
* Ensure customer equipment/goods are installed according to industry standards and best practices
* Contribute to the support of managed services operations, including weekend tasks when required
* Assist the service team in technical design, implementation, and support of customer incidents and projects
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a role supporting servers, networks, printers, PCs, and applications, preferably gained in a field-based position
* Proven experience with enterprise/mainstream technologies and applications, primarily focusing on Microsoft front/backend products, anti-virus, and backup platforms
* Experience with other enterprise/mainstream technologies and applications such as Citrix, VMware, and Cisco is desirable
* Relevant experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting peripheral equipment including routers, switches, hubs, UPS's, printers, etc
* Industry-recognised accreditations such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCA, CCNA are highly desirable
