We are looking for someone to join the EHS team on a fixed-term basis working to ensure the company complies with Health and Safety legislation and approved codes of practice and guidance.
Fixed-Term Contract Length: 12 months
Duties will include:
* Implementing, monitoring and improving all business processes, policies and practices related to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, promoting a high level of awareness and compliance in all aspects of health, safety and environmental management.
* Proactively identifying HSE improvement opportunities/recommendations and implementing new systems, policies, and procedures as required.
* Managing DSEAR Assessments and audits.
* Managing REACH Compliance and maintenance of the system.
* Managing classifications of materials.
* Managing Dangerous goods procedures.
* Managing COSHH Compliance and maintenance of the Management system.
* Conducting accident and incident investigations and reporting any accidents or incidents to the HSE (in line with procedures).
* Ensuring Fire Safety Compliance.
* Assisting with environmental compliance (waste management permits, etc.).
* Conducting site assessments and internal auditing.
* Advising the Health & Safety Manager on the implications of current and emerging Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, including evaluating options for implementation.
* Supporting managers to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching, and practical support.
Ideal candidates will have: strong experience working within Health & Safety and must be competent with experience in COSHH, REACH & RoHS.
