The Opportunity On this year long Industrial Placement you'll work alongside skilled professionals and from day one you will be working on real life meaningful projects - adding value to clients, while exploring challenges with curiosity and creativity. You'll learn from others and begin creating your professional network ready for when you graduate. There are regular learning sessions with our leadership team, opportunities for site visits to local projects and all kinds of social events that will support your learning and development. Our aim is to welcome as many students back into our other programmes, be that another internship or potential graduate position. This placement is the stepping-stone to your future. Arup provides an integrated approach and delivers sustainable solutions to the design of cities and complex urban and rural environments. We are a team of landscape architects, GIS, digital and visualisation experts working on a variety of projects across the world. Our network of landscape teams in the UK includes London, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Newcastle and Solihull, with overseas teams in New York, Brisbane, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai. We are differentiated from our competitors by our ability to combine cross-disciplinary skills to solve particularly complex or unusual problems and help our clients to create an integrated vision with a full commitment to develop successful and sustainable places. Our services include: Master planning Concept design through to detailed design and construction Visualisations/3D Modelling Design guidelines and best practice Feasibility studies and area strategies Strategic planning, assessment and policy review Our landscape architecture teams work side by side with a wide range of Arup's other specialist disciplines, including urban design, architecture, ecology, town planning, sustainability experts, engineering, cost consulting and project management. Requirements Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent Master's in architecture or equivalent Highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new skills in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment. Communicative, Curious, Collaborative, Conceptual Thinker, Collegiate with excellent planning and organization skills Interested in sustainability and climate change resilience We're looking for people who are curious and ready to evolve how you think and work.
