We are now recruiting for a Breakfast Club Childcare Assistant at our club at Alderwood Infant School in Aldershot, Hampshire (GU12) and that person could be you This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Thursday from 7.45 - 9.00am The role As a Breakfast Club Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Breakfast Club Manager alongside other Breakfast Club Assistants in the safe and organised running of the club whilst actively and enthusiastically supporting and engaging children aged 4-11. As an integral part of the team, you will assist in providing a variety of breakfast items to the children attending the club as well as providing a safe and secure setting for the children in your care. Enabling them to explore, grow and have FUN Responsibilities Actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club at Alderwood Infant School in Aldershot, Hampshire (GU12) Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of the children's breakfasts Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary) Develop strong relationships with all children at the Breakfast Club ensuring every child has the best start to their day as possible Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day Skills & Experience You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting Have a fun and energetic nature Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years Opportunities to gain qualifications and further growth & development, will be available for candidates who match our ambitions Full training and inductions will be provided to all Breakfast Club Assistants This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry Hours Monday - Thursday, 7.45 - 9.00am, term time only Company Benefits Company pension, discounted childcare, holiday pay, social activities, professional development, career progression & recognisable qualifications nationwide.
