Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 0800-1700
Friday 0800-1600 (Finish at 1330 every other Friday)
Reporting to the Quality, Health and Safety Manager, we are looking for a resilient Quality Engineer to join this vital team. You will lead quality-related improvements through quality improvement initiatives and the non-conformance system. Your responsibilities will include identifying root causes of quality issues, working collaboratively with the production team to implement corrective actions, and establishing an effective audit program within the manufacturing facility.
You must be an excellent communicator and presenter, capable of liaising with and influencing key personnel and relevant department heads.

About the role
1. Review of ISIR and FAIR reports prior to submission
2. First point of contact for internal quality concerns
3. Investigate Non-conformances, both internal and external and implement CAPA measures
4. Compilation and submission of PPAP documents as requested by customers
5. Provide inspection support as required (Absence/ Workload)
6. Review and approval of concessions prior to submission to customers
7. Conduct daily QA audits
8. Conduct and lead 8D investigation reports issued by QHSE Manager
9. Development of process controls for specific processes
10. Generate Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR’s) follow up to ensure effective CAPA are implemented
About you
11. Recent / relevant experience in a similar Quality role within metal fabrication / engineering
12. Demonstrable understanding of quality management principles, methodologies and core tools
13. Precision in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
14. Highly motivated, proactive, team-orientated and outcomes driven
15. A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
16. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
18. Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
