Civils Foreman, Foreman, Site Manager, Omagh, Tyrone, Construction Your new company Based in County Tyrone, your new employer is a Civils Groundworks Contractor who are looking to hire a Civils Foreman to manage ongoing work across Northern Ireland. This company is well positioned as a Groundworks Sub-Contractor on one of the largest schemes happening in the country, with some initial works already planned to start in February 2025. Covering mainly roads and highways as well as residential sites, you will be joining a company that has direct labour, plant and pipeline of work ahead, with future work already secured. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civils Foreman who is keen to base themselves close to home and work on projects that will make a real and impactful difference to the area. Your new role Your new role will see you involved primarily civil groundwork as you deliver new road schemes, covering culverts, drainage, and concrete works. You will be responsible for effective supervision of a team of labour, ensuring work is carried out to a high standard. Some duties will include: Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans for the week. Organise labour and workload on site Allocate general and daily responsibilities and ensure health and safety is maintained. Inspect the quality of work and ensure programme deadlines are achieved. Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met. This role will require you to be self-motivated and capable of increasing the productivity of labour on site, while ensuring that material orders / deliveries are coordinated. What you will need to succeed Previous experience of working in a similar role will be required with particular preferences held for those who have experience of civils / groundworks on road schemes. Ideally, we have knowledge of the delivery of access roads, large scale drainage systems, culverts and concrete works. You will be a driven individual who is self-motivated and can work autonomously as well as part of a larger team to benefit from the rewards of a long-term career and progression with your new employer. You will require all relevant tickets and training.
