A great opportunity has arisen for senior and highly experienced leader who is innovative and personally motivated to work with a range of clinical staff working in different roles; care group leader’s; corporate leader’s and several multi-professional. The role will focus upon safe staffing leadership and partnership working contributing to safe and effective clinical care.
The post holder will be responsible for the oversight, application and improvement of Safer Staffing across all clinical services within RDaSH. This requires close monitoring and support for our Clinical Care Groups in terms of Trust compliance with the National Quality Board: Developing Workforce Safeguards (2018) and other national workforce plans and agendas.
The post holder will provide specialist Safer Staffing training, advice and leadership to support staff in the delivery of Safer Staffing in accordance with Trust Safer Staffing policies. In this the post holder will exhibit and enable strong leadership and strengthen the Safer Staffing contribution to the quality and safety agenda in the Trust.
The post holder will be required to be highly visible and operate flexibly within the Safer Staffing team structure to ensure that a comprehensive service is provided,and when necessary to act up and deputise for the Promises and Quality Manager.
To support rollout of Safer Staffing initiatives and projects across clinical services to ensure that the Trust is complying with national Safer Staffing requirements.
Act as a role model and clinical expert within the specialty of Safer Staffing.
Support the Trust in the development, review and implementation of Safer Staffing strategies.
To work autonomously and on occasions and seek to develop collaborative relationships with key colleagues in RDaSH and partner organisations.
To participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the bi-annual Safer Staffing board report.
To contribute to the review and development of policies/protocols relating to Safer Staffing.
Provide expert specialist advice and clinical support to a range of Trust staff on Safer Staffing.
To develop and lead on projects that capture and support patient and carer feedback and satisfaction in relation to Safer Staffing to help inform the wider Safer Staffing strategy.
Tohelp support the Trust wide rollout of workforce tools in both inpatient and community settings (e.g. the MHOST for inpatient services)
