Job Summary
Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a well-established Property Investment and Development Company that owns and manages a substantial commercial and residential portfolio. They are seeking a Residential Property Manager to join a small team responsible for approximately 600 residential properties in and around London. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring Health & Safety compliance across the portfolio. The position is office-based but will require travel for property inspections.
Main Duties:
* Collaborate with external assessors to attend properties and conduct fire risk assessments
* Review and evaluate fire assessment outcomes from on-site visits
* Instruct external contractors for onsite work to meet compliance needs (e.g., asbestos management surveys, legionella surveys)
* Coordinate with outsourced suppliers to review surveys such as legionella, fire, risk assessments, and asbestos management
* Upload key compliance information into the Meridian (H&S) database promptly
* Complete HMO license applications accurately
* Conduct property assessments as needed
About You:
* Minimum of 12 months experience in residential property management
* Experience with property software such as Horizon is advantageous
* Strong understanding of residential property management and Health & Safety regulations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
* Attention to detail, especially regarding compliance matters
* Proactive in handling queries and issues with positive outcomes
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Full and clean driving license
