Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer (Image Interpretation) at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
You will work as an autonomous Advanced Radiographer assessing, diagnosing and interpreting images to provide a legal radiological report on own specialised workload of patients.
Take a key role in leading and developing the service to improve practice and work collaboratively, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
For this post you will be expected to still participate in screening sessions as well as being involved in review clinics. You will be required to travel to the mobile unit locations, which may include overnight stays, as well as some allocated sessions for image interpretation. Staff are required to be flexible and accommodate the service needs.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. HPC Registration
2. DCR or BSc. in Radiography.
3. Certificate of Competence in Mammography or Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography
4. Post Graduate Mammographic Film Interpretation qualification (Master’s level )
5. At least 2 year’s experience in general radiography
