Projected work schedule: 3p-12a (1500-0000) and 40 hours a week.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The major activities or end results necessary to fulfill the position requirements on an ongoing basis include:
1. Environmental Monitoring: Monitoring of Classified Areas using:
1. a) Active/passive air sampling methods and RODAC/swab surface sampling methods for the detection of bacteria and fungi.
2. b) CliMet air sampling methods for the detection of Total Particulates; trending of this data to detect anomalies and characterize the transient and resident microflora.
2. Utilities Testing: Testing of:
1. a) City water for total microbial count and the absence of enteric organisms.
2. b) Pre-treat water, clean steam, and Water for Injection for total microbial count and presence of endotoxins.
3. c) Nitrogen and process air for total microbial count and total particulates.
3. Utilization of classical microbiological methods for the identification of microorganisms.
4. Perform validation activities such as biological indicator recovery, bioburden rinse/swab, endotoxin rinse, and endotoxin challenge vial testing.
5. Data analysis and entry into software systems such as Microbiology Information Management Systems (MIMS).
6. GMP Documentation: Document test results and conclusions in a GMP manner. Ensure test forms are complete before submission for approval.
7. Perform responsibilities in compliance with *** quality systems. Adhere to all company safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and directives. Conduct all laboratory activities in a safe manner by using MSDS to establish chemical hazards, observing the appropriate laboratory procedures, and reporting all incidents that could threaten the safety of laboratory personnel.
