Admin Assistant, Carrickfergus, £13.02 per hour Your new company A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Carrickfergus are recruiting for a temporary Admin Assistant Your new role You will be responsible for the provision of a wide-ranging, professional and confidential administrative support to the staff of the Major Projects Team with regard to all aspects of the service area. The Major Projects Team are responsible for the delivery of the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council City Deal Programme and regeneration of St Patricks Barracks. You will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day administrative activities are completed on time and to a high standard of accuracy and quality. Provide administrative support to staff within the Major Projects Team which will include diary management including scheduling appointments, screening emails and taking appropriate actions as required. Carry out duties in respect of the general administrative support functions for the Major Projects Team, including word processing, filing, raising purchase orders, processing of invoices, drafting letters, handling emails/telephone calls, enquiries and requests, taking appropriate actions as required. Deal with queries from public and community groups in respect of areas of service delivery. Assist with the preparation of presentations, agendas, and other project materials. Attend meetings and functions in an administrative capacity to record and issue minutes. Assist with the organisation of training sessions, meetings and conferences relating to the work of the Major Projects Team, ensuring that the appropriate equipment is available as required. Assist with the production of marketing and promotional material. Liaise with other departments in the delivery of the projects. What you'll need to succeed A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy. 2 years experience demonstrating the ability to deal efficiently with large volumes of work. 2 years experience successfully prioritising competing demands. A qualification that demonstrates competency in working with office technology ie Word Processing or Typewriting. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
