As the Senior Pharmacist - Anticoagulation/Stroke, you will work across both the anticoagulation and stroke services at Nottingham University Hospitals. You will join the pharmacy stroke team, working alongside the Specialist Pharmacists for Stroke and Chief Pharmacy Technician - Stroke to provide a consistent, high-level pharmacy service to the Stroke inpatient wards.
Within the anticoagulation service, you will work with the Specialist Pharmacist - Anticoagulation and the anticoagulation nurses and clinicians to support patients on anticoagulation therapy.
Both elements of the job will also give the post holder the opportunity to be involved with quality improvement, monitoring of medication incidents, governance, and education and training to both qualified staff and student members.
This is an exciting job giving the opportunity for multidisciplinary working, providing a service to both inpatients and outpatients at Nottingham University Hospitals, and gaining specialist knowledge in the areas of both anticoagulation and stroke.
The job role is based at Queens Medical Centre, but there may be occasions where the post holder is required to work at the City Hospital campus as per the service needs. The post holder may also be required to work clinically on other wards within the integrated care directorate as per service needs.
