We are looking to appoint an Assistant Charity Shop Manager who will ensure the safe and effective management of the shop and will work to further the mission of The Salvation Army. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Shop Manager to join our team, who will work with the Shop Manager to oversee the safe and effective management of the shop and will work to further the mission of The Salvation Army. Key Responsibilities: The post-holder in the absence of the charity shop Manager will assist with the running of the shop and assume responsibility for the management of the shop in the absence of the Manager. These duties will include: Managing staff and volunteers, ensuring the highest standards of customer care. Assisting in the management of the daily operation of the shop including stock management and housekeeping Managing the security and accounting of cash, health and safety issues, Administrative tasks The recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers. The successful candidate(s) will: Have proven interpersonal skills Previous experience in a charity shop/retail environment and in managing staff and/or volunteers, Ability to work on their own initiative and in a team Enjoy working with people, and be able to deal tactfully with staff, volunteers and the public Understands the needs of customers and have basic proficiency in Maths and English Be committed to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
