About the Role: Our site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals division, employing around 1200 people across 3 factories. It’s a complex, fast-paced environment and we’re now looking for a Raw Materials Technologist to join our technical team on a fixed-term basis (expected to last up to around 45 weeks). Reporting to the Raw Materials Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Ensuring the ongoing compliance of all raw materials coming into the site, approving specifications, undertaking risk assessments, assessing new products, and resolving any quality issues. Managing and maintaining all raw material data and KPIs, identifying any complaint trends. Handling site and customer requirements, technical advice on raw materials to ensure compliance. Supplier assurance, working to ensure all information is maintained and following up on any supplier enquiries. About You: This role would suit somebody with prior raw materials/quality experience looking for a new role or a recent graduate in Food Science, or similar, looking to begin a career in food manufacturing. Highly organised, able to plan and prioritise a busy workload to meet strict deadlines. Proactive in approached with a strong attention to detail. Effective interpersonal skills, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
