Job Description Capability Lead – Design Change & Producibility Fulltime Solihull What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Capability Lead – Design Change & Producibility, to join the Civil Engineering Delivery Controls Lifecycle Engineering Team, b a sed in Solihull. As a Capability Lead – Design Change & Producibility, you will be accountable for leading a team of 10 to 20 Design Engineers working primarily on Civil Aerospace Programmes. It is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical leadership capability and further develop your people and programme leadership skills. The role will give you broad exposure engine systems, including the Oil, Pneumatics and Fuel systems across all engines and provides an excellent insight into the complete lifecycle of an Aerospace Gas Turbine Engine. In this role you and your team will be at forefront of Rolls-Royce’s drive to establish World Class Technical Response and Fix. Focused primarily on Control System Units you will be responsible for Minor Change and Technical Response in support of both Original Equipment (OE) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Operations. Responsibilities You will : Provide technical leadership of an Engineering Team ensuring timely and pragmatic technical support is delivered to OE and MRO Operations whilst ensuring compliance to process throughout. Lead and drive efficiency through process review, teamwork and implementing continuous improvement and operational best practice within the field of work aimed at provided consistent and predictable output to the Operations Teams. Play an active role in load/ capacity planning for the team and work with the wider functions to ensure suitable and capable people are available to complete programme deliverables. This includes engagement with third parties such as Managed Service Providers in line with agreed Do/Buy strategies. Plan, allocate team member, lead the delivery and approval of technical activities within your accountability. Own the relationship between engineering, supply chain and operations and ensure it is effectively managed and integrated. Why Rolls-Royce?
