Salary and Benefits
We offer an estimated annual salary of £65,000, depending on experience, as well as a fantastic bonus scheme based on personal and company performance, relocation package if needed, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Monday to Friday hours, and a pension scheme.
About the Role
This challenging position involves leading in-depth development of high-performance inductors, driving design excellence through simulation, collaboration, and innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include:
* Drive Full Lifecycle Development: Oversee the entire development process from design to quality assurance.
* Create High-Performance Inductors: Design and develop inductors for various applications, ensuring durability and reliability.
* Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure seamless design implementation.
* Analyze Performance: Use simulation tools to analyze electromagnetic performance and bridge virtual models with real-world results.
* Prototype and Test: Develop prototypes, test methodologies, and qualification plans to meet customer and product specifications.
* Interface with Customers: Provide technical support, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions.
* Optimize for Manufacturability: Ensure inductor designs are cost-effective and manufacturable at scale.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for both product and process enhancements to stay at the forefront of inductor technology.
* Technical Reporting: Document designs, test outcomes, and present insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
* At least 3 years' experience in inductor design, with deep knowledge of electromagnetic theory.
* Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools, such as HFSS, Maxwell, or COMSOL.
* Experience with advanced magnetic materials and their applications in inductor design.
* Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to interpret simulation and test results.
* Familiarity with prototype development, testing methodologies, and performance validation.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with attention to detail and strong project management abilities.
