Description
The Programme Content Manager will play a critical role in shaping and evolving the academic offering of the Manchester City Sports Business School (MCSBS). They will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of educational curricula tailored to pre-university, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. By designing and delivering industry-driven programmes inspired by the global sports industry, they will ensure MCSBS remains at the forefront of sports business education.
As a key member of the MCSBS programme team, they will oversee programme execution, ensuring academic excellence, student engagement, and strong industry alignment. Working closely with Marketing, Digital Learning, and Admissions teams, they will drive innovation in content delivery and enhance the overall student experience. As the School grows, the Programme Content Manager will recruit and lead a team to support the successful development and execution of MCSBS programmes. Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead the development of content across all MCSBS programmes, ensuring high-quality, industry-relevant materials for both in-person and online delivery.
2. Build and maintain key partnerships across the sports and related industries to expand MCSBS’s network of faculty and guest speakers.
3. Work closely with City Football Group Executives to integrate their expertise into programme delivery as key faculty members.
4. Recruit and manage external faculty and guest speakers to deliver programme content.
5. Conduct ongoing research and gather industry insights to ensure programme content remains responsive to the evolving sports industry and diverse audience needs.
6. Establish and embed robust processes for content development, review, and continuous improvement across all programmes.
7. Collaborate with central services teams to ensure seamless programme implementation and operations.
8. Represent MCSBS at industry events to grow its network, enhance visibility, and foster new partnerships.
The role will develop and grow in line with the development and growth of MCSBS, therefore the role description will be reviewed annually.
