We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Burnley. This rewarding role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who requires additional support. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a child in EYFS, focusing on both learning and personal development. Deliver tailored interventions to support the child's individual needs, including specialist SEN strategies. Assist with personal care as required. Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCo, and other professionals to implement the child's learning plan. Foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where the child can thrive both academically and emotionally. About You: Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within an EYFS setting. Understanding of specific interventions and strategies to support children with additional needs. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have strong experience. What We Offer: A supportive and friendly school environment.
