Retrofit Assessor
Role Overview:
The Retrofit Assessor is at the heart of energy efficiency and retrofit projects, ensuring that each property is thoroughly assessed to pave the way for impactful, tailored solutions. This role involves evaluating properties’ energy performance, gathering detailed data on structures, systems, and occupant behaviours, and producing comprehensive reports to guide retrofit initiatives. By adhering to PAS 2035 standards, the Retrofit Assessor ensures each project is both compliant and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Property Assessments
* Conduct detailed evaluations of properties, analysing energy use, building structure, and systems such as heating, insulation, and ventilation.
* Utilise industry-standard tools like RdSAP (Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure) to accurately assess energy efficiency.
* Engage with property occupants to understand energy usage habits and behaviours, creating a holistic view of energy consumption patterns.
2. Preparation of Specialist Reports
* Develop an Energy Report outlining energy systems, current performance, and opportunities for improvement.
* Create an Occupancy Report based on resident interviews, offering insights into energy consumption behaviours.
* Produce a Condition Report highlighting structural or maintenance issues affecting energy efficiency.
