Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Consultant to join one of our public clients. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for acting as the Responsible Clinician (RC) for a defined caseload of patients and conducting assessments for individuals referred to the CMHT. This role will involve working both in patients' homes and in clinic settings, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and effective care in the community.
What you'll do:
* Act as the Responsible Clinician (RC) for a defined caseload, ensuring the appropriate management and treatment of patients.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients referred to the CMHT, either in the community (at home) or within clinics.
* Lead and attend regular MDT meetings, collaborating with colleagues to ensure integrated care and positive patient outcomes.
* Provide expert advice to GPs and other healthcare professionals within the catchment area, offering guidance on the management of complex mental health cases.
* Oversee all RC duties within the community mental health team, including the preparation of care plans, mental health act assessments, and treatment reviews.
What we're looking for:
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
* Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician (AC) status are essential.
* Experience working in a community mental health setting, with knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and risk management.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience of leading MDT meetings and providing expert clinical advice.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A valid driving license and access to own transport, as travel within the community is a requirement of the role.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
