Community based pharmacy technicians looking for a career change.
You should be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work flexibly and independently in a professional manner. The role will involve interaction with a variety of people, including patients, nurses and doctors; therefore applicants must possess excellent communication skills.
This role requires GPhC Registration.

Main duties of the job
1. Medicines optimisation duties on the wards, undertaking medicines reconciliation, patient's own drug assessments, patient counselling and reducing unnecessary wastage on discharge by managing the medication supply pathway and providing a one-stop dispensing service.
2. Dispensary duties including checking dispensed medicines as an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT).

Qualifications Essential
* Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent
* Professional registration with the GPhC
Experience Essential
* Regular patient contact
* Experience of working in a busy pharmacy department in primary or secondary care
Desirable
* Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy department.
* Experience of using JAC pharmacy computer system
* Experience of ward based working
* Experience of working in an Aseptic Unit
