Co-ordinates and manages all service centre / care centre assets and facilities including colleagues, stock, fleet, diary management and logistics to ensure that funerals are delivered efficiently and with the greatest care. Here is what a typical day could look like for you: Has responsibility for all service delivery operations including casuals, colleagues and ensures service centre / care centre colleagues operate as a team by sharing diary management and resources where required e.g., during periods of absence. • Overall responsibility for management of the diary and fleet via (alongside) the Diary Managers / Network Operations Co-ordinator. • Responsible and accountable for efficient service delivery in each Service / Care Centre within remit including collaboration with Business Leaders. • To assist as requested with the operational support of any funerals conducted by the Company including bearing or hearse and limousine driving duties, transfer of deceased into our care and where necessary and within reason out of hours ancillary activities or weekend funerals. • Understanding of Management Information and implementation of practice to improve performance and efficiencies Accountable for all deceased tracking and monitoring from collection point to leaving Dignity’s care. • Compliance with all Dignity’s internal procedures and the NAFD code of practice, but particularly the Identification of the Deceased and the Jewellery and Personal Effects procedures and CMA. • Has responsibility for checking standards within the Service / Care centre to ensure that all service delivery areas are always kept clean and tidy. Takes health and safety of self and others seriously and is responsible for ensuring compliance to relevant health and safety procedures. • Owns all communications within designated team and uses a blended approach to land messages effectively and in a timely manner. • Responsible for HR matters ensuring adherence to policy and always acting within the legal framework to ensure consistency and fairness. • Responsible for the recruitment, training, and retention of direct reports. • Attend and participate in meetings and regular training activities and or supervision of others. • Carry out other duties as and when reasonably requested by line manage.
