Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters. Our Hull shop is a busy and lively place to be! Come and join our merry team of volunteers and get involved with all parts of our amazing shop including stock processing and customer service. We are a friendly and positive team who really value our volunteers. We will train you and support you - could you spare a few hours each week to join us?
As a Charity Retail Till & Sort Room Volunteer in our Hull Sue Ryder charity shop at the Kingston Retail Park, you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.
The Role – Charity Retail Till & Sort Room Volunteer
1. Donations and Gift Aid – meet donors, receive donations, sign donors up to Gift Aid
2. Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock
3. Greeting and helping customers
4. Serving customers on the till (training provided)
5. Maintaining shop displays, re-stocking
6. Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented
About you
As a Charity Retail Till & Sort Room Volunteer you will:
1. Enjoy helping and engaging with customers
2. Be enthusiastic and pro-active
3. Have the ability to work as part of a team
4. Be reliable
Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.
