Permanent, full time role offering up to £36,000 + benefits
This role will be onsite every day during initial months, and then it will be hybrid 2-3 days onsite, with occasional travelling to clients.
Position Overview
As part of exciting expansion, we’re looking for an IT Engineer to join a Cyber Security Specialist company. They provide Hardware and Software (SaaS) Network filtering solutions for clients in industries such as defence, critical national infrastructure, and finance.
What will you do?
1. Help clients with the preparation of technical solutions for Networking products (Hardware and Software).
2. Work with clients to assist in technical scoping and requirement gathering to understand clients' Network/Infrastructures.
3. Prepare product specifications and technical solutions based on client requirements.
4. Provide consultancy and support to clients after onboarding, delivering product demos or workshops, explaining how the solutions work and how to use them.
What do you need to be successful?
1. Networking knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP communications protocol and Ethernet networking in general.
2. Familiarity with LINUX and knowledge of basic commands.
3. Comfortable meeting new people every day and engaging with clients in various settings.
4. Valid UK work authorization and full UK driving license.
5. Willing to undertake UK Government Security Clearance.
Not essential, but nice to have skills:
1. Familiarity with the Windows OS and ecosystem.
Training Provided
As a part of your role, you’ll receive comprehensive training and guidance helping you to build expertise in their product range. This includes hands-on training and shadowing in creating technical solutions (LLD and HLD) of their Networking Solutions.
You will have a unique opportunity to learn about:
1. How to create technical Solutions, including Low and High Level Designs (LLD/HLD).
2. Implementation of hardware networking solutions and data diodes essential for secure data transfers.
3. Learning about software Network Filtering solutions, and how to prepare technical specifications for complex client environments.
