Job: Evening Spa Therapist Location: Cowley Manor, Cheltenham Contracted hours: 5pm to 9pm (16 hours a week, including some weekends) Hourly Rate: £12.50 plus service Reports to: Senior Spa Therapist & Deputy Spa Manager. We provide C-Side spa members and guests with highest possible standards of leisure facilities, spa treatments and guest service. You will create a relaxing, calm, and welcoming first impression for all Cowley Manor guests and members that will ensure they relax and improve their wellbeing in beautiful surroundings. You will be passionate about going the extra mile to exceed your guest’s expectations by providing positive, friendly guest service ensuring that you create a Moment of Magic at every opportunity that will make them want to visit us again and again. Performing all treatments according to our procedures, high standards and guest focused approach at all times. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Experience: Give your personal attention to all guests, taking personal responsibility for their comfort and enjoyment during their visit to the spa. Works as part of a great team providing exceptional guest service. Exhibits a confident, friendly, and positive attitude when dealing with all guests. Ensures that all aspects of the ‘guest treatment journey’ is followed with every guest according to the standards of excellence. Provides guest with effective information. Takes ownership and responsibility to notice when the guest is experiencing a Moment of Misery & report to spa management. Turn it into a Moment of Magic & deals with this head on. Promotes Cowley Manor leisure services and spa treatments, retail products whilst delivering excellent guest care (in and around the spa). Ensure the whole package is delivered & is always in line with the Experimental’s standards. Ensure a smooth running of the spa by being part of a team. Ensure all treatment consultations are read correctly & take action when needed in a professional manner. Focus on understanding the individual needs of each guest. Ensure children swim times are met. Work to meet business demand. Deliver treatments to a high standard at all times. Make sure you explain the benefits of the treatment and what to expect from the treatment before starting any treatment. Provides all guests with effective after care advice and product recommendations following the treatment. Promotion of the Venue: Complies with all presentation of public areas & treatment rooms. E nsures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe facility. Cleans and maintains spa presentation throughout shift as per standards as agreed by management. Consistently meets grooming standards. Reports and logs any necessary maintenance issues to the senior therapist. Inspects changing rooms & treatment rooms, clean as needed and ensure set up as per standards as agreed by management. Assists in the transportation of dirty laundry up to the main house ‘Trolley run’. Take responsibility to inform senior spa therapist & deputy spa manager of low stock levels. Ensure retail sale targets are met. Attend a Company Induction within 1 week of commencing employment with us. Understand the Hotel’s Vision, and to live our values in day-to-day work. Understand the Guest Service Ethos and be passionate about these values in your day-to-day work. Be a Team Player and understand that all team members across the Cowley Estate should be happy to help in other departments. Be flexible, and to try to cover shifts as needed. Ensure your uniform is always as per brand standards, and you are always turned out well. Be always polite, positive, friendly but professional with your fellow team members. Effectively make bookings in the diary to meet business needs. Use spa software systems to the standard you have been trained. To be Safe: Ensure you follow the Health & Safety systems explained to you by your manager, including but not limited to; RASSOW, COSHH, Fire, Manual Handling, Food Hygiene. Follow company policies precisely. Ensure all shift procedures are completed on shifts. ABOUT YOU A Spa Therapist is always working on behalf of our guests and working with other team members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude and skills that follow: Social, engaging and motivated. Use their initiative and is proactive. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations. Be well spoken with excellent communication skills. Knowledge as well as abilities in other languages would be beneficial.
